Mac Book Touchpad Driver for Fedora 15+

xf86-input-multitouch for Fedora 15+ for review

If you own a Mac Book with a bcm5974 touchpad, you might know that it is a PITA to drag and drop with the synaptics driver. If you reach the end of the pad, you cannot drag any further and adding a second finger, just emulates the right mouse button. So here is the solution, the multitouch driver from http://bitmath.org/code/multitouch

I created an rpm, which is for review here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=681826

Just rebuild the src.rpm and install the resulting package and you are ready to restart the X server. And if you want to review the package, please do so! :-)

What I use

I hacked up the older kernel driver to add MT-like behavior, based on code someone else posted. It's horrible, but it works unmodified with any X server.

Love the driver, but this fork looks even better:

Are you considering this code as well?

I'm trying it as we speak. As a result of installing this package, i lost the Touchpad tab on the mouse settings dialog. Is there an alternative?
